It has been a beautiful week for us here on the farm, and we hope you’ve gotten the chance to get out and enjoy the beautiful spring weather this week as well! It has been busy as we have been making final preparations for our Summer CSA kickoff this week! Growth is happening before our very eyes this week: our greenhouses are getting more and more empty as we continue moving things out to the fields to be transplanted, and our baby lambs are starting to be weened off their bottles. Summer is right around the corner! We look forward to seeing you in the market stand and around the community as you pick up your shares and veggies :)

In your CSA boxes this week you will find a variety of yummy veggies geared toward making Asian-style dishes, including anything from stir-fries and soups, to noodles and salads! One of the herbs you will find in your box this week is sorrel. Sorrel is a leafy green that has a sour, tangy taste and is in the same family as rhubarb. You can cook sorrel in stir-fries or marinades or use it fresh to add a pop of flavor to salads, dressings, and sauces! See a recipe with sorrel below!

Simple Cooking Tip of the Week! -

Add some finely chopped green garlic to your eggs, breakfast burrito/sandwich, or avocado toast to bring a burst of flavor to your morning!

Happy spring cooking this week!
