Summer 2021 CSA - Week 4

Hi everyone! Hope you are staying cool this week,

Full Share: Carrot Bunch, 1 Cucumber, 1 Strawberry container, Scallion, Baby Kale, 2 Romaine Heads, Bok Choy, Thyme  

Half Share: Carrot Bunch, 1 Cucumber, Scallion, Baby Kale, 1 Romaine Head

I have two major FYIs. First, if you miss your box pick up time at any pick up location from around town WE DO NOT bring the boxes back. You miss out for the week, no exceptions. That means do not come to the Farmstand cold room in search of a box; if you find one and take it, you are stealing from another customer. Second, check your name on the sign off sheet after getting your box. It’s important in our counts. Thank you.

With these hot hot temps, I barely feel like cooking in my house. That’s when I know it is time to light up the barbecue and eat salads! This simple salad can be paired with burgers, chicken, hot dogs, grilled veg.. the options are endless. Let me know what you think of it!

Here at the farm, the fields are really starting to take off. Props to our irrigation guy, Jake, who’s killing it by moving pipe, watching the soil moisture levels and running doing so. In the next few weeks, you’ll really start to see our boxes diversify. Tomato season is upon us!! I can’t wait.

You can see that full share subscribers got some strawberries this week. Half share will be next week. U-pickers, our new fields are close to being ready for your enjoyment. Give it a week or two until they really take off and are worth making the trip to our fields.

We have piglets again if you want to bring kiddos by to see them!
