Good Morning Everyone :)

I hope everyone is staying cool out there! I’ve been enjoying some post work swims in the creek.

Flower shares-you can look forward to a very bountiful bouquet this week! Our flower field is overflowing, so get a big vase ready for this weeks flowers! If you don’t have a flower share, come design and pick your own bouquet during market hours!

A few exciting things to note in veggie shares this week—Zucchinis are ready, as well as cherry tomatoes and scallions!

Scallions will be a nice variation to the green garlic we’ve had the past few weeks. I absolutely love scallions, I find them incredibly versatile and a great addition to almost anything. Check out the end of this newsletter for a Spanish Cebollitas Asadas recipe!

Cebollitas Asadas (grilled spring onions/scallions)

1 bunch of scallions

1-2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 lime

Olive or vegetable oil

Salt and pepper to taste

-Heat your grill as you prepare the scallions

-Wash scallions and peel off any tough or dirty layers

-Brush scallions with oil before laying on hot grill

-Turn scallions once to ensure both sides are charred. They should get up to 5-6 mins on each side, or until they appear soft and almost translucent.

-Once cooked, remove from grill, sprinkle lightly with soy sauce, fresh lime juice, and salt/pepper. Enjoy!
